We have come here for a couple of days from Madrid, en route to visit family in Ponferrada and Villafranca del Bierzo, and the weather is spectacular here. Truly a joy to see how many happy pilgrim faces, many partially hidden by masks, but all enjoying their Camino experiences.
I've attached some photos, including some of another village in these mountains, I'm sure many of you will recognise it.20200821_114335.jpg20200820_204750.jpg20200820_184839.jpg20200821_114335.jpg20200820_204750.jpg20200820_184839.jpg20200820_184738.jpg20200820_184629.jpg20200820_204742.jpg20200820_210841.jpg20200820_210806.jpg

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

We stayed at the albergue in your first photo, it was lovely.

I stayed there too. Lovely photos!

Thanks for sharing your photos. My husband and I stayed there last year and absolutely loved it. La Rosa del Agua has beautiful rooms and Mike was a fabulous host and the food was so good.

@MarkyD that double rainbow is glorious!
Thank you for the uplifting photos.
The picture was taken in Foncebadón, where we were surpised to find an authentic Italian pizzaria, that even made delicious vegan pizza (cheeseless, but delicious all the same). Everyone came out to capture some pictures of the wonderful double rainbow.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I think your first photo is of the first bar (it might also be an alberque) on the left coming into El Acebo. I have stopped there for breakfast. It is owned and run by an American man and his wife who came here and just did not want to leave. I understand the feeling. He was a good host and treated us very well and he had time for quite a long chat. Food was great.

That's correct, although La Rosa del Agua is currently a "Pension" with individual rooms only. However, the American owner Mike was super helpful to everyone, plus his happy band of volunteer helpers, allowing some to camp on the grass areas of his small plot of land next to the terrace area as well as providing refreshments and breakfasts to any that stopped by on the way.
We were quite surprised to see such a steady stream of pilgrims coming down off the mountain from as early as 8pm to well into the afternoon. I estimated that there were typically about 100 each day while we were there.
