Hello I wondered if this may be of interest to anyone walking or cycling the Vezeley route through the Perigord/Dordogne region of France.

I live a few km's from the camino and over recent months there has been lots of work on a new Voie Verte (Green Way) from Perigueux to Mussidan (and beyond). In our local town work on a new bridge is almost complete across the river Lisle and a friend recently walked part of the route that has already been opened.

Whilst not the actual camino it would be possible for pilgrims to follow the river from Perigueux Catherdral all the way down to Sourzac... where the camino crossed the river.

I'll try to find our a little more about the completion dates if anyone is interested.

Kanga - it is indeed stunning. I know looking at the photos on the 'where did you walk' thread that everyone's area seems to be amazing but I do love our little corner of France. A few nights ago I met some friend in Perigueux and parked my car just outside the old town and followed the gold shells to the cathedral... and I cannot tell you how much I love doing that :D

(mind you... I'm a Devon girl too and that's a pretty special place as well  )
