Part of a blessing in our Jewish prayerbook but not on what I wish to dwell. Went to the supermarket today and there, on the shelf, with the greengrocer sat a little box. One which struck a resonant chord from deep within. Something I had never seen in Jerusalem truly: אור חדש על ציון תאיר!
1566397355458.png For those poor souls for whom the Hebrew language remains unfathomable - a quick translation. The small letters on brown read "Tekoa Farm" the larger ones on orange read ***Padrón Peppers ***! True, they were probably grown in a hothouse in the mountains of Jerusalem, on the Judean desert a hot and arid place and not in rainy cool Galicia but very exciting none the less. Their taste? Not yet dinnertime - Watch This Space!
