A reason to walk the Camino

Al the optimist

Veteran Member
If I could live my life again I would try to make more mistakes.
I would not try to be so perfect, relax more.
I would be more foolish than I have been, in fact, I would take few things seriously.
I would take more risks, I would make more trips, I would contemplate more sunsets, would climb more mountains, body-surf more rivers.
I would go to more places that I've never been, would eat more ice cream and less beans, would have more real problems and fewer imaginary ones.
I was one of those people who lived sensibly most minutes of my life; of course, I had moments of joy.
But if I could go back I would try to have only good moments.
If only we realised it, that is what life is made of, only moments; Don't miss the now.
If I could go back and live again, I would travel lighter.
If I could go back to live I would begin to walk barefoot in early spring and would continue barefoot until end of autumn.
I would do more laps on the Carousel of life, glimpsing more sunrises and sunsets if I had another life time ahead.
But I don't, I cannot live my life again only that which is left, and so I am listening to myself and behaving appropriately.

AND SO CAMINO!!! :):):):):)

Your perfectly correct Al with all you say, but also I know you will remember, the past we cannot change the future isn't here yet! This is our moment we must live it now! :):):):):) and so CAMINO

I found that one of the major experiences of the Camino is "living in the now" ... for me at least it was difficult to relive the past issues or worry about tommorow on the Camino
...just one step after another ..and suddenly you notice you walked for miles

And your day was so "full" that you 1) almost forgot about what happened the day before and 2) didn't think about tomorrow!
