Thank you for posting this, @Finisterre - I liked it too, very much. Beautiful writing: "the open hand of an open-hearted summer day". A lovely way to think of the Camino scallop shell. I may never look at sunflowers the same way again though...

I am impressed by the determination. How hard it must be to walk with depression, the desperation for change. People can be amazing.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
It must have been so hard to maintain such admirable determination, given her internal suffering. I particularly loved the “deep kindness” she received.
I feel the Camino frees us to be our true selves, and teaches us the true value of kindness.
