Absentee voting while on the Camino?

Time of past OR future Camino
CP 2019, CF Sept 2022
How do you handle absentee voting on the Camino? In our state, to receive an absentee ballot, you must be out of the county throughout early voting and on election day. We qualify for early voting based on that requirement. The next requirement is the ballot must be mailed to an address outside the county. I am assuming this means they want to mail the ballot to Spain. But we have no set address on the Camino and I have no idea if it would arrive in time mailed from the US. Not the end of the world but we would like to vote. Has anyone dealt with this specifically or have any thoughts. Thanks.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Have you contacted your county clerk?

They might be able to send your ballot to a Correos office to be held. My county sends out overseas ballots on September 23 so there's plenty of time.

I have not yet because I was unsure what to ask exactly. But now I know. I will call and ask them about mailing to hold at a post office in Spain. Thanks for your input. :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
I signed up through fvap.gov and took the form to the county clerk and they will email a ballot. I live in Iowa and rules may vary state to state. I am in Italy now and anticipate I will receive a ballot

You shouldn't have any issue voting early. Our early voting started last Monday, and they didn't need a reason for me to cast my vote. I had my flight information on my phone thinking I'd need to present it upon request. As of now Virginia hadn't gone off the deep edges.

We leave tonight and early voting doesn't start in Texas for a couple of weeks. I did call county clerk and am trying to get everything set up for an email ballot. Thanks for everyone's input.

I walked in 2012. Had my absentee ballot emailed to me. I was on the Le Puy trail at the time it arrived. Found a hotel that let me print it off. Filled it out and mailed it in. This year my daughter is walking the El Norte and has already arranged for her ballot to be sent via email to her. Hopefully she’ll find a printer along the way.
