Hola!

Can anyone recommend accommodation in Biarritz? We will be spending the night only and hope to leave for SPP to begin our Walk the next day.

Thank you!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Hi, are you on a budget? If so, rather get to Bayonne and stay at one of the budget hotels near the train station, and then you can get the first train to SJPDP in the morning. If not, well, lots of expensive hotels to choose from in Biarritz :).

Hi agree with Jill, it would also mean a late start in SJPDP, so you might like to book Orison.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hello! We land in Biarritz from Paris. If accommodation is more reasonable, then we should get to Bayonne. Taxi? Bus?
We are definitely on a budget. Exchange rates from Aussie to Euro is shocking! haha

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
The bus to Bayonne is right outside the terminal and costs 1 Euro each. So that won’t beak the bank. I’m sure someone will post more details, if not I will when I get up! As for accommodation in Bayonne, I have looked for myself and there are some decent places in the centre on Airbnb for about 35 Euro. And they do one night. A hostel will of course be cheaper but it might be nice to have a good last sleep before plunging in. Plus there are two of you so if you take the hostel route, two payments start to add up.
