Hi all. Can anyone recommend a good, central hotel/gite in Lyon? last year I was alone and stayed in an excellent airbnb but next time there will be a group of us so we will need something bigger. Thanks!

If its for the Le Puy route I stayed beside Lyon Part Dieu train station. Not sure whether its what you're looking for with it being a group but the handy thing is you can leave your baggage at the hotel while you wander around and do the touristy stuff but then its a short enough walk to the station when it comes to catching the train and the tram to the airport also stops there... The best of both worlds. Its within walking distance of the city centre.... around 20 minutes (very roughly!). I stayed in the Mercure Hotel Part Dieu last year which was good but this year I'm staying in the Ibis Style hotel also very close to the station. I'll let you know how I found it if you want. Will be there in a few days... Booked it online for the best deal....

Thanks! Ohhh, you lucky thing heading off on that route in a few days! Bon route et bon chemin!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
