Accommodation in Porto

Hi

Can anyone recommend a place in Porto that is central/close to everything and child friendly? I will be travelling with a 12 yr old child.

The Youth Hostel in Porto is brilliant and cheap with a discount for pilgrims. It is not however central, but the view of the estuary more than makes up for that. You can walk along the river to the Cathedral where you can get your Credentiales (a bit of pre-Camino walking) or if you want to save your bootleather there is a bus which stops outside.

I stayed here last spring: http://www.pensaograndeoceano.com/ It was nothing fancy. Pretty basic but very clean, comfortable and centrally located.
