I have to recommend, in addition to Hostal La Salle and Hostal Suso, the Hotel as Artes (Double room 72-112 depending on the season). This past year we walked two caminos back to back so splurged for this hotel. It is wonderful in so many ways... For one, you see the cathedral out your window - it is steps from the praza. There are only seven suites, each named after a famous artist (We stayed in the Pablo Picasso suite). Absolutely flawless and friendly help, wine, food, sumptuous breakfasts, wifi, etc. When we arrived there we felt in the lap of unimagined luxury. Fluffy terry robes and spa supplies. The wonderful folks who own this place are so incredibly helptul - from providing maps, information, umbrellas, stuff we were missing, bringing wine and appetizers to our room, it was beyond expectations. It guess it is kind of pricey, but honestly, if you can afford this very intimate modest indulgence, it is such a wonderful end to your camino!
