Accommodation in Tuscany

Hi all, I will start to walk from Lucca on March 29th. Are all municipal hostels open in Italy at this time ? All the best John

When on the trail in August and September I found many to still be closed due to Covid issues

It seems a mixed bag regarding opening of pilgrim accommodation in Italy. And there was a message on a Facebook forum that some may have been readapted as emergency accommodation for Ukrainian refugees but that remains unconfirmed and unclear. Its probably email or phone to see if each individual one is open.
