New member - plan to walk camino first time Sept 2018
Hola amigos y peregrinos,
I am planning to do the Portuguese camino starting April 16, 2019. (I will bus it from Lisbon to Fatima, so actual walking will start April 18). This will result in walking to Caxarias, Ansiao, Zambujal and Coimbra during Easter holy week. I assume a lot of businesses will be closed during this time, so I am wondering about restaurants, cafes, albergues ect . Will accommodations and meals be hard to find in these towns during this time?

Thanks
Luc

Restaurants and cafes should be open. Albergues should be opening for the season. You should make advance reservations for the cities, especially over weekends. One idea is to use your smartphone and the booking.com app to handle reservations. Generally, you can even reserve some private albergues this way.

Hope this helps.
