Airport tax in Madrid?

I haven't found this addressed anywhere on the Forum so hopefully someone knows .... does the Madrid airport levy an airport tax coming or going from the USA? This would be a tax that is paid on the ground at the airport itself. I remember doing this going and coming from some of the airports in Peru. Is it required in Madrid? Thanks, L
