AirPorto Hostel 21 March 2018

Hi, I have booked a bed at the AirPorto Hostel, near Porto airport, for the night of Wednesday 21 March 2018. It is a small room with one bunk bed (shared bathroom), and it is the same price whether there is one person in the room or two people. A light breakfast is included. If anyone would like to take the other bed and share the cost of E35 (E17.50 each), please get in touch. I have to catch a plane in the morning, which leaves at 06:20, so I will be getting up, and leaving, very early. You then have the room to yourself.

Dorm beds are cheaper, but I couldn’t bring myself to book one knowing that I will be getting up before 5am. (I always admire those people who can get up and leave quietly without making a sound.)

The Airporto Hostel is 10 minutes walk from the airport. It is on the Caminho da Costa, 17kms from the centre of Porto (leaving on the Central Route, but veering left at Padrao da Legua). From the hostel you can stay on the Caminho da Costa to Vila do Conde, or veer right, and get back to the Central Route at Mosteiro, and continue on to Vilarinho. You could also veer left towards Labruge and get onto the Senda Litoral, at the seaside beside the sea , which will also take you into Vila do Conde.

Sorry, we ended up going a bit more upscale - all of €46 for a double room, private bath and huge breakfast buffet...

Hi, any forum members in Porto this coming Wed 21 March?
Weather permitting I’ll be walking around in the afternoon.
It would be nice to meet up, somewhere near the river, for a glass of vinho verde at about 6pm.
