I stayed in this refugio about four weeks ago. It is, as is common, a large dorm room and the courtyard is huge, but seems to be undergoing some remodeling/constuction as of the begining of April. The great thing about this place is its location. Very close to the cathedral and there are many shops, cafes and restaurants around. I did not see any nuns, but it was staffed with two hospitaleros. I was halfway to the municipal and decided to turn around and come here. Lucky thing I did as I met up with several friends. I think when you can stay in a unique place such as a monastery or church (remember Granon) or someone's home, you should do it. For me it only enhanced my experience. Good luck and buen camino!
