albergue in Alcuescar and Monesterio

#2
Dawn, yes the Monesterio one is closed, I stayed in a hostal there. The one in Alcuescar is open and is lovely, with wonderful energy at work by the monks. it is donativo and you also get to eat the same menu as them. Yummy food. They do not eat with the peregrinos.

Hi Dawn,

There is a nice albergue in Merida. After crossing the Puente Romano, turn left and skirt along the river for about 700 meters.
