Hello everyone!
In the middle of May I will go to Coastal Portuguese Camino. The gronze.com application currently states that Albergue de peregrinos São José de Ribamar is closed in Póvoa de Varzim. This is where I was going to stay. Does anyone know to tell if this is true? Maybe in May the situation will change?

Thank you in advance!:)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Good idea, the more apps the more choices as no one app/web page has a complete list. I would also call too just to make sure. When. walked the VDLP albergues listed as non covid closed or listed as open were not always accurate. It did seem that Covid closures were, if I remember correctly correct.

I checked some Portuguese websites about this albergue but none of them say that it should be closed.
maybe you try it later during the day by phoning.
I have been there before and remember that there were blue plastic matrasses and you have to take a sleepliner with you.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
A good idea! I knew, but unfortunately the day I arrived, this hostel is full:(
Try Sardines and Friends, a nice place. You can get the Metro to Povoa (goes from the airport) and avoid the walk out of Porto if you wish.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to call them

Hello, my friend of 50+ years and I are on our first Camino walk. We are looking for: 1) safe, comfortable hostels in Lisbon; 2) stages from Lisbon to Porto (via Tomar) in about 16 days...
