My friends who are walking to Rome stayed here last night, In the Brierley guide it says that the Ermita de la Virgen de la Pena is usually locked but if you stay at the albergue they make a 1.8km round trip at 6.30pm in the evening to the Ermita. They were very impressed with the albergue, basic(mats on the floor) but very friendly and inclusive spirit. Suggested Granon to them today.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
When we stayed there, we were offered to visit the
Ermita with a lady from the village, who takes whoever is interested there and opens up the church and gives a short explanation. (donation is appreciated)! For the rest of the day, I'm sure the Ermita is closed.
Mike, Grañon is before Tosantos, not after!
This albergue s. Francisco de Asis offers one of the "genuine" Pilgrim experiences.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
As they seem to walk from Santiago to Rome, Camino geography will be reversed for them ;-) SY
Oops! Missed that one!
