Every time I walk at Easter I find pilgrims that started in St.Jean carrying a sheet with the albergues open that early in the year. Does anyone know if this is available online? I’m looking to plan some longer days for an upcoming trip but don’t know what albergues are open and when.

Thanks for the replies.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Most apps will tell you the opening/closing dates of albergues.

Also browse through the resources section on here, there might be a list there with the opening dates on too.

Most of the Camino Frances infrastructure goes live for Easter. The owners know their market. Gronze, Brierley, Wisepilgrim and most of the other information resources contain opening date data.

If you are planning long days ending at sparsely accommodated destinations then a 'phone call the day before might provide some additional comfort.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
As Tinc states above, once Easter arrives, the 'official' Camino season has started. I have been watching daly volumes at the Pilgrim Office in Santiago. The daily arrivals are now exceeding 1,000. They were steadily increasing over the past week.

This is the normal trend. Daily pilgrim arrivals will remain high for the next week or two, then slide down a little, before surging starting at the end of May. The surge continues through mid-September.

Because the annual Camino season has started, as a general rule, everything that supports pilgrims will be open as from Easter (or the day after).

Hope this helps.
