Time of past OR future Camino
Frances 2018
I'm looking into the timing of my next Camino Frances and I thinking about late September to early November. Wondering how hard it will be to find open albergues during that timeframe.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
There should still be lots of albergues open then. Some are open year round.
You can check Gronze for opening and closing dates.

Some albergues will begin to close in mid October, but the Xunta albergues in Galicia are open year round so if you are nearing the end of your journey, it should not be an issue.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Probably quite a good time for albergues. Many pilgrims choose the autumn because it is cooler. Given that there is more demand for accommodation, there will be more of it so most, more likely all, will be open. Gronze is a good place to check.

October is usually pretty good for albergue availability. Some start closing in November if they’re seasonal.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
The majority of albergues will be open, certainly enough to meet the needs of pilgrims.

I have found that many albergues are extending their opening season, with many more telling me that they will welcome pilgrims outside of the season if given good notice.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

More will close later. I start walking in Mid to late October and the last two years I did the Aragones to Puente La Reina to Santiago and the year before from Sevilla to Astorga to Santiago and Never had a problem on the CF. Call ahead to make sure the albergue you want to stay at is open as you get closer to November. You may have to take your second or third choice or go a little further or less than you plan. APrinca.com is a website that goes online in November for winter openings. No website or guide is 100% accurate regarding open/closed albergues.
