Time of past OR future Camino
I m planning to walk the Camino May 2018. I will arrive 15th of May.
Hi,
I'm arriving at Saint-Jean on the 15th of May. As excited I am, I'm a bit nervous too. I have a question please, Do I need to book my first accommodation ( Albergues) in advance? and which one you recommend? Oh, anyone else arriving at the same time?
thank you

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
Beilari is good alburgue to stay. They have a pilgrim's dinner where you can meet your camino family. Just to let you know, the meal is vegetarian. Approx 33euros for the night; dinner and breakfast included. Since it is a popular alburgue, reservations are recommended.

Buen camino.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Perhaps this will help further.

If you arrive without a reservation the SJPdP Pilgrim Office can help find you accommodation when you are on site.

The SJPdP Pilgrim Office is located on the camino at 39 rue de La Citadelle.

The office is open every day and in season from early in the morning until late at night ie after the arrival of the last bus/train. The helpful multi-lingual volunteers can provide you with a Credential and stamp if needed, as well as a list of major albergues and current weather/ trail conditions. They can also help locate a bed/bunk for the night. Most importantly the office is a great spot to meet/ greet other pilgrims. ...Do plan to stop and chat!

If Beilari is booked out, check out Gite Ultreia. I’ve never stayed there myself but I’ve heard good things about it.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I reserved both Beilari and Orisson for the first weekend of May. The owners of both hostels were very prompt and kind. They have easy reservations on their websites as well.

thank you, I have sent Beilari an email yesterday and I'm waiting for the reply. I could see anywhere in the website for booking.

Also starting mid May. Booked Ultreia and Orisson. Might even book Roncesvalles. Just want a less stressy start for my camino.

Fantastic, I have difficulty for booking Orisson. I send them email twice last week but no reply. Is that how you booked? Email or phone call?
Thank you and good luck with your trip, we might catch up sometime
