I shared a room at the Hostal Virgen de la Encina in Ponferrada with a man named Richard, an American. It was 22 October. He was from a town in Washington (state) where he had been in charge of the public transport system. He is now retired. We didn't exchange contact details, but I'd like to get in touch with him. So, I'm hoping that he reads the Camino Forum. If you have any suggestions on how I might contact him, please let me know. I've emailed the hostal, but not had a reply. Probably the Spanish equivalent of the Data protection Act prevents their giving me any contact details for him.

Yes, GDPR will prevent them from sharing details. Have you posted on the American Pilgrims on the Camino Facebook page?
No, Keith, I haven't done that. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the suggestion.
