G'day all.
For those in Oz, at least on the East Coast, Aldi's winter sale is scheduled for Saturday 19 May. My catalogue arrived today.
They again have a Premium ski shell jacket, for $119. This is virtually a Goretex jacket - the material appears the same and claimed specs for breathability/waterproofness are the same. If you like Goretex (I don't, my three all leaked like sieves) this could be the way to go at a fraction of the price. They have their overpants in the same material advertised for $99.99. I wish you luck with the pants - I don't know how many pairs they actually trot out, but in several years and various Aldi shops I've only ever discovered one pair and it was mixed up and buried in heaps of other stuff.
My experience has been that this particular sale can get very busy.
