Aleve (brand name) - Naproxen

Time of past OR future Camino
C. Portuguese 2021
I’ve noticed a number of previous threads on the Forum and hope that I am not being repitious in my posting ...
Additional disclaimers: I am not a health care professional these are simply my observations.
In the US, Aleve (Naproxen) is available over the counter in 200 mg tablets; the directions indicate that adults may take one or two tablets twice per day.
On a recent trip to Spain, I purchased Naproxen from a pharmacy and the tables were 500 mg and they were similar in size to tablets available in the US - yet 2.5 times stronger. Be careful of differences in dosing and packaging between countries.
¡Cuidado!

In the UK last year I was prescribed Naproxen by my doctor, and they were 500mg tablets which I had to take twice a day.

In Spain buying Ibroprufen tablets, these are usually 600mg or 800mg, but in the UK they are 200mg with advice to take no more than 3 per day, so check the dose before overdoing it.

We all need to be careful in what we do.
