Hi Susan, I can't tell from your post if you are looking for an Altus poncho or whether an Altus was the one 'lacking'. Just be aware that at this point even Altus isn't claiming that their current ponchos keep a real rain out. My experience with recent ones is that they totally bomb in the rain although I understand some of the earlier ones were actually waterproof. Not to reopen that discussion which has been held at length on the forum...just my experience and the word from Altus manufacturers themselves. Hope you find something that works.
 
Well not in Ponferrada nor Villafranca but in the small tienda next to the church in O'Cebreiro. Perfect size and color. Can't be worse than the old poncho which was donated as even it was better than nothing.
