Fascinating, thank you for posting this, @mspath. I did not know that such a construct exists between two countries like Spain and France. Nor did I know that condominium has such a meaning and that there are a few other condominiums elsewhere.

Watch this BBC video published 14/11/2022 re the island in the Bidosa river between Hendaye, France and Irun, Spain which changes nationality every six months. You can see it from the international bridge but it is rarely visited.
