Just walked this little beauty today http://cuckmerepilgrimpath.org.uk/

It will take you to from St Andrews at Alfriston to St Michael & All Angels at Berwick; to St Mary's at Selmeston; St Pancras at Arlington; The Long Man of Wilmington (guess where); The Good Shepherd at Lullington and, back to St Andrews.

For those of slightly different inclination: it will take you to The Star Inn in Alfriston; the Cricketers at Berwick; The Barley Mow at Selmeston; The Yew Tree Inn in Arlington; The Giant's Rest in Wilmington and The George in Alfriston.

Local Guide available ;)

I like the alternative version! Cannot wait until travel returns and I can try out some of the English pilgrimages. Thanks for sharing.

It would be the width of the path rather than the length that would get you if you took the alternate route. 😁

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
@Tincatinker Oh that sounds very tempting.
I presume(?) all the churches are closed at the moment. The hostelries sound attractive.
Coming from London, would Berwick Station be the place to start/finish?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Berwick Station is indeed the best start/finish point. Most of the churches are indeed closed or have very limited opening. The Good Shepherd is usually unlocked. St Michael & all his friends is currently closed as there is restoration work being done to the "Bloomsbury" murals. St Andrews is open for quiet prayer though I'm unsure of timings.

We took the alternative, alternative, route at Wilmington so avoided climbing Windover.

The best views of the Long Man are between Arlington & Wilmington ( when you get there you can't see the beggar). And the Yew Tree does the finest pint of Harvey's of the bunch ;)

Chrissy, you are welcome the day they'll let you off the 'plane ;) There is a welcome in this house for any pilgrim.
Thank you! It would be great to meet you one day and your warm hospitality sounds nice...you are almost a celebrity.😊
I was in England last summer with a friend, but more as a tourist, although I did walk a bit of the Cotswold Way and did a few short hikes along the sea near Sidmouth. I hope to go back!
