I been looking forward to walking camino France's since my last one. This past month I have loads on my mind my father has been ill and my anxiety started again only just started feeling normal .

I have had second thoughts of walking it again
Now thinking I will miss my daughter who is 14 now grown up so fast all adding to anxiety which is under more control now I have walked this route few years back hardest part I think is how you handle it mentally? And grasp the shear scale of it. So naturally on my mind. I'm supposed to flying out Sunday. So my mind is all over the place at minute Anyone else had this ?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Yes, it's a wrench leaving our loved ones behind and it's normal to worry about them while away. What if something awful happens? If the worst came to the worst you'd be back in the UK within a day or so. The probability is that they'll be just fine. A month out of your daughter's life is very little in the overall scheme of things and you may well be a better father to her when you get back and she will appreciate you more (although that may be asking too much of a teenager).

Enjoy your Camino.

... Now thinking I will miss my daughter who is 14 now grown up so fast all adding to anxiety which is under more control now ...

Going out on a limb (is that the correct expression? Second language English speaker here) but could your anxiety also be caused by the fear that your daughter could just cope perfectly well with you being away for a few weeks? She is growing up fast and soon will be independent - perhaps that contributes to your anxiety?

Buen Camino, SY

I know my daughter is independent for her age. It is just the thought of being away from her at this moment Had anxiety over small things mostly generalised. Gets out of hand at times

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
You've walked two very substantial routes, so you know what you are doing on a practical level and need no help there. Sounds like you are just in a different 'headspace' now, with home anxieties. Feeling the fragility of your dad will make you feel clingy to all your loved ones. Maybe now just isn't a great time to go? Perhaps you could wait until school holidays and bring your daughter with you?

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
I begged my parents to send me to boarding school: saw them Mid-October, Christmas holidays, spring break, long weekend in May before school ended late June. Bu early July I was off to horseback riding camp for 6 weeks.

Ok, and if your daughter is not happy to be away from you for a few weeks, then I suppose absence makes the heart grow fonder.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
I have discussed it with my daughter a few times she is fine with me you going and thinks I will feel better when there. I have booked and packed everything. I have trained a lot more this time
