Planning to hike the Portuguese Way from Porto to Santiago in May 2018
I'm planning on arriving in Porto on May 20 and walking on the 21. Taking the coastal way to Villa de Conde then heading inland up to Pontevedra an taking the spiritual variant to Padron and on to Santiago.

At this point I'm looking at doing it solo but it would be nice if there's anyone on here planning a similar trip around the same time to join with.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-

I'll be walking Porto > Santiago in May. Intending to do the full coastal, plus the spiritual variant. We'll be starting Monday, May 14th, a week ahead of you, but we're taking a full 3 weeks to walk a slow, beach-bumming, wine-soaked camino, so who knows? We may cross paths with you!

That would be cool! I've set aside two weeks to get it done so we may cross paths more than once.

@Clark, that is my schedule as well! Will you be walking from Porto, or taking the metro to Matisinhos, as I understand many do?

I was planning on walking all the way to Vila do Conde, but I figure I'll make the final decision once I'm there. I plan to go coastal to Vila do Conde and turn inland toward barcelos after that.

I'm staying at the alburgue de peregrinos in Porto, so hopefully we'll catch each other!

@Clark sounds good! I have rented a room through Air BnB just for my first night in Porto, then plan to do alburgues and B&Bs the rest of the time. I am planning on heading out around 7am I think on the 20th, though I have been told not to "make plans" for the Camino. Hope to see you on the road, and if not, bom caminho!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Can you send me contact of that accommodation in Porto? How much is it?

Here is their Facebook page. It was a very nice alburgue, but a bit far from the cathedral if you're wanting to start from there.
