Leaving on Sunday for the Camino. Was going to walk but have a back injury obtained during training. Dissapointed since my first choice would be to walk it, but rather than not go, I am going to bike it. Plans were for 35 days of walking so now it will be 35 days of biking with a couple of added sections-Bayonne to SJPP and SDC to Finnistere and whatever else comes along.
Thanks for all the info that I have obtained from this site.
I will of course be as polite as I can to all the walkers on the trail and will be yelling "Con Permision" as I approach (assuming I am going down hill, since uphill I will probably not be approaching).
Look forward to chatting with those on the trail at the same time, if you have time for an old biker!
Buen Camino

Very good that you go in spite of your back injury. I hope you will be fine riding your bike and you will enjoy the Camino.
Buen Camino to you!

Those bikers always seem to be having so much fun!
I'm sure you will too.
And 35 days. Sounds about spot on to me.
Buen Camino

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Buen camino!! We arrive SJPP Wednesday so maybe see you along the way - look for a very slow walker, purple rucksack with a forum badge on the back :)

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
The trouble with bicycles is that they are so quiet!
I remember when I was a child (a dim and distant memory!), we would use a clothes-peg to peg a piece of stout cardboard to the bike-frame so that the card played in the rear spokes. It made it sound like we had an engine (you could do two and make it sound like a sports car!). Such simple pleasures.

You could try that. Then we'd hear you coming.
Not sure I could put up with it for 35 days, though.

;)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
