April/May Camino - which sleeping bag...?

Time of past OR future Camino

I have read and re-read many of the posts about bringing a sleeping bag on my Camino. I will start walking from Leon to Santiago on April 22.

I tend to get cold when I sleep. I am trying to decide between a very light bag (765g) that is rated to 13C or a 1.25 kg bag rated to -5 C or some combo of very light bag + sleep sack.

I have read that some albergues are not heated but I don't know what that means in terms of temperature.

I want to pack light but I also want to sleep and not freeze at night.

I'd appreciate your insights!!!

Thanks,

Bob

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Bring the lighter sleeping bag.
You are sleeping indoors every night, not camping.
A 1.25 kg bag way too heavy. You would probably regret carrying it fairly soon on the Camino.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi Bob,
I walked April/May 2016 and brought a Mountain Hardware down flip 50F/10C. I used it on my 2013 Camino as well. It worked great. You'll definitely want a bag in the Spring which can be cold and damp. Also a lot of albergues have blankets if you need added warmth.
Buen Camino :)
