First I want to say there should be a folder for months walking so people can connect, and if there is I would love to be pointed in the right direction :)
Is anyone thinking they will be between Leon and Santiago in August. I am looking to start walking from Leon on August 11 or 12 and have to be in Santiago on the 25 to get back to Madrid for my flight on the 26 :) Does 20+ km/day sound like too much?
Any advice?

Twenty kms per day is really quite relaxed. I think most pilgrims average 24 or 25 kms per day.

Leon is 311 kms from santiago so to do it in 12 days you would need to average nearly 26 kms per day. Astorga is 3 days closer to Santiago. To walk from Astorga to Santiago in 12 days you need to average 21.4 kms.

Think about starting from Astorga.

And Good Luck.
Enjoy the preparation for the camino.

My dad and I were just discussing me spending a few more nights with family and cutting the trip so now I should be walking from Ponferrada to Santiago from August 13-25 :)
