Autumn Camino Frances Pictures

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances April 2020
It looks like I may delay my camino to the fall months. I was so looking forward to seeing the wildflowers and green fields on the meseta. It can't be helped.

So now I was wondering what a late September through mid November Camino Frances looks like. Would you post a favorite picture from your Autumn camino? I thought this would be fun to look at after the last week. Thanks! šŸ˜Š

Hi Jeanne, Some photos from 2018 Autumn Camino to give you some idea - didnā€™t stop at one. These are fairly typical of what we saw throughout. We had a very dry Camino that year, only cruz de fero day and last day into Santiago had any rain to speak of, and you can see from the shots on 15 oct that the rain cleared by about 10:30 to beautiful clear skies. Most crops had been harvested so brown stalks or ploughed dirt in lots of fields. We did see some grape picking and as you get to Galicia the green returns.

Not strictly on the FrancĆ©s but just outside Santiago, taken November 2019, autumn colours that we donā€™t get in my part of Australia.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I ran the Camino Frances from August 27 to October 11. I think my report shows what it looks like then.

You will be far past this spot by mid-November but I walked from Barcelona to Pamplona and so I was just a few hours away from my end point.

November 10, 2019. At the high point of the Camino Frances at the Alto de Perdon. A bit of snow on the ground with some more coming down.
