Hi, I am arriving in St Jean next Wed 14 Oct, and have a B&B booked. My sister is now unable to join me, so if any single lady would like to share my twin-bed room please PM me. It’s not far from the Pilgrim Office. It costs 65 euros for the room, including breakfast, so 32.50 euros each. I have a reservation at Orisson for the next night, so I won’t be leaving early! Jill

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Just in case there is someone out there who will be in St Jean on 14 Oct and hasn’t seen this, I am re-posting. If a nice single lady shares with me I save 12.50 euros :). That’s the price of a simple supper in St Jean . Hoping to eat out rather than nibble a stale sandwich in my room all alone :(. Just kidding. Sooooooo looking forward to being back on the camino next week :D. Jill

Well, I am unable to share your room, though it's not because of a lack of "ganas." Oh, how I wish! Wishing you a marvelous camino, Jill, looks like those of us who are confined to our homes this season will have a lot of Caminos to watch from afar -- yours, Kialoa, scruffy, mspath, alanskyes, maybe more! I will wish I were walking every time I hear from one of you, but I will be happy to hear of your camino. Keep in touch if you are so inclined, buen camino, Laurie

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Thanks Laurie. I think I will be starting one day after @C clearly and two days after @mspath. Really hoping I meet up with them. I do take a smartphone along with me (to stay in touch with my wonderful husband at home), but I tend to stay offline while on the camino. I am hoping to call in at Café Tertulia if I make it all the way to Santiago. It will probably be Thu 19 Nov, as I have to leave Santiago the next day to catch a flight home. Jill

Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Yes, I hope we'll meet. Are you going to Roncesvalles on your first day, or stopping over?

Hi Claire, I might stop at Roncesvalles for lunch and continue on to Burguete. I love the albergue in Roncesvalles, but not their 6.30 wake-up call! I am going to try the new Albergue Aca y Alla in Urdaniz (2 kms before Larrasoana) on Sat (17th), and Ibarrola is keeping a bed for me in Pamplona on Sun (18th). You must be leaving home soon, so Buen Camino! Jill
