It's delicate to respond to this question without a degree of "commentary" -- but WHO has recently issued new guidelines for testing that may significantly reduce the number of cases going forward, as they request an initial positive test + medically observed symptoms + a second verification test. Whilst warning of "false positives".

So there is a chance that things might clear up a little sooner than some might expect ; though as always, wait and see.
