Baggage storing

We are planning to take the bus from Santiago Airport to Sarria, and would like to leave a suitcase at the airport for five days. Has anybody any knowledge of this, if it is possible? Thanks for a good informative site.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

As far as I know there are no luggage storage at the airport. But things at the airport are changing daily now, so I will have to check this again. I will be going to the airport on Sunday (my wife is leaving for a trip) so I will check it out, and ask at the information desk as well.

I saw in the papers today that RyanAir is getting ready to open their offices at the airport, flights start on Monday.

Greetings from Santiago,

Hi Mads,

I stopped by the information desk at the airport yesterday and asked about the luggage storage (Consigna). And I was right; there is no luggage storage facility at the airport (something that they need to fix).

She told me that there are such facilities at the buss station and at the train station. She was not sure if there were automats (like the one we are used to) or manual consignas.

I hope this helps,
Ivar

Consigna

Fewer and fewer train stations and airports are allowing the consignment of baggage. I have left extra clothes and equipment with a trusted hotelier with good results. Many hostals and hotels throughout Spain are sensitive to the needs of the foreign travler. Find a place in Santiago to stay which will keep your bags the week of your excursion.

Buen Camino,
