Hello fellow pilgrims,

My husband and I are less than a month out before we begin our Camino walk. We just started training this weekend which is not good but that's another story. In any event, my husband has a wonky back and is wondering now whether he'll even be able to carry a backpack. So the question is, what contacts might be available to have a backpack transferred from one point to the next. We begin our walk at Ponferrada and have 9 days of walking planned.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

You have several options depending on what route you are walking. There are many companies and if your albergue does not have envelopes, try a nearby hostal or hotel. You will put money in an envelope each morning, attach it to your bag with the rubber band they provide, write your destination on the outside, and leave it by 8 am at the reception desk (or wherever they tell you to put it). It will usually be at your destination by the time you arrive. Sometimes they're a little later. You can expect to pay €6 per stage before Sarria and can usually find it for €3 per stage from Sarria to Santiago.

Falcon I am doing the Ingles but jacotrans don't seem to advertise they do the Ingles ,some one on the forum said they do? Do they or is there someone else who does?
I do not remember seeing baggage transfer services offered on the Camino Ingles, but it is likely there is someone. The tourist office in Ferrol might be able to help you if you call/contact them.

If you don't want to carry yours either, some companies occasionally have a 2 for 1 rate plus storage in Santiago for those "dress up" clothes at the end!

Thank you falcon 269 indyinmaine and Lisa T for your advice. :)

Hi - I would send an email to Camino Facil. They may know someone who does the transfer service on other Caminos. Here is Sergio's email contacto@caminofacil.net and he helped me out with a referral for my husband's transfer.
