Baio´s secret garden

If you continue on to Fisterra by bus, certain buses require change at Baio. This drab little town has no charm and Arriva definitely see no reason why they should set up an office or even stop by a cafe or bar to facilitate their clients.
Do not despair if you are in the same situation as I were. Changing bus in Biao (Malpica to Fisterra)kept me in the town for two hours before the Santiago bound bus comes along. From the bus stop where you are supposed to wait for the next Arriva bus, walk down the road past the sports shops and keep left until you reach a small gap between two buildings. Walk down this narrow gap for a few steps and voila the secret garden.
I had no idea who owns this garden but it is joy on earth. The garden owners took great care to plant all beautiful flowers around a tiny fountain and a small plot of land full of Hydrangeas, roses, dahlias, gladioli, mock oranges, etc. The birds flock here to sing their heart out. You sit by the fountain, listening to the birds, drinking the sweet water and dream your dream.
Just make sure you know the time the bus is due. Arriva buses have the habit to be on time and more often than not earlier than the posted time.
Biao is not that bad after all.
