Hi,
I have been unsuccesfully trying to get info about this lodging adress on Camino de la Plata.
Is there any chance that any of you have kept some recent and accurate info about this pension ?
Rooms, prices, quietness,etc..

Thanks vm in advance for your answer

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I am not sure but it seems that name was changed from Pension Casa Concha or Bar Casa Concha into "Hostal Camino de la Plata".
Is this correct ?

Hi!

I stayed at Bar Casa Concha last August 25th, after a straining walk from Castilblanco in a 40 degree weather. By the way, load up with water. Don't expect to get any from the Bomberos in the park; Firefighters without water...

Casa Concha is a very peregrino friendly place. I was treated with much consideration.

The rooms are at the back of the bar, separated by an open patio. They're new, very clean and quiet, priced at 20 Euros (single).

The bar also offers meals (noon and night at 21h00) of an excellent quality at a very affordable price (menu del peregrino). For breakfast, there is the Bar Antoninio at 100 meters from Bar Casa Concha, which opens at 05h30, and where you can have a good hot meal before hitting the road the next day.

Have a good one,
Jean-Marc

Eze,

I think Bar Casa Concha is also referred to as Hostal Via de la Plata. It doesn't matter. It's well known in the village. You won't have any problem finding it.
Be careful, the Albergue de Peregrino is sometime also called Hostal Via de la Plata by the locals.

As an aside, Concha is the first name of the owner as in ''Concha Marquez E Hijos''.

Cheers,
Jean-Marc

Jean-Marc,

I wish to thank you very much for your answers to my message.
Now, i feel much more confortable regarding this stage lodging.

Yes, i had noticed that albergue de peregrinos in Almaden is often called with the same name of former Concha bar. That's one of the reasons i wrote my mail.

Merci !
