Bar or restaurant in Riego de Ambrós

This question has been answered. It's La Franja del Camino, which closed three years ago.

I took the photo attached in Riego de Ambrós in 2014. Do you recognise it? Can you tell me the name of the bar? All I can remember is that it was outside the main village, but not too far, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it. Thanks.
I have googled, of course, and there aren't that many bars, so please don't suggest Las Puentes or the other one, whose name I can't read on Streetview, unless you're sure.

My wife and I stayed in the municipal albergue in Riego de Ambrós during our 2015 camino. Very small town and I don't recall any bars on the main street. We purchased a few items from a small grocery store. Fortunately, the hospitalera at the municpal escorted us to a restaurant run by her sister and it was a short walk, but not on the main street. I recall that beer tap at a few bars in Galicia. I know there is one at the bar / restaurant in Ribadiso. Bob

I remember the town as a quiet village with not many occupied houses .i stayed at the albergue once and it was just fine. I went thru first in 2006 and still have by brierly book which says , "Restaurante ruta de Santiago 987418 151 as phone " 200 meters off the trail . I got a hand full off salt from the woman to soak my blisters . The opening of the new albergue in Moliaseca has hurt their business

There is (was?) also a "Pension" in Riego de Ambrós and I could be wrong but I seem to remember that there was also a bar/restaurant in there - the picture is from 2017.

I have an almost identical photo taken in 2016, and another taken in 2014, when the poster was not there. Of course, that building is not the pensión, in case anyone was wondering. The bar next to the pensión is Las Puentes.

That looks like old acebo to me ,wild dogs and all,advertizing to the pension down the road .my best guess

I stayed here in 2017 and also ate at the Ruta (which I think might have been a hotel in a former life). I and another pilgrim staying at Riego had our evening meal here. As I remember it was a warm evening so we ate outdoors enjoying a beer or two and a bottle of vino tinto. Recommended (although I think the new albergue at El Acebo with the pool will divert a lot of pilgrim traffic.) Cheers

The location of the building in the photo is not relevant. El Acebo and Riego de Abrós are very similar in appearance, but the house in the photo is definitely in Riego de Ambrós. But so far, despite five posts, I'm no nearer to finding the name of the bar.

Why not ask someone from the village? Another bar or hospitalero or even someone in El Acebo? Someone would surely know if you attach the photo.

That's not a bad idea! If I can find an email address, I'll give it a go.
Update: It was much harder than I thought it would be to find an email address, but eventually I found one for Las Puentes. I got a very swift reply, telling me that it was the bar/restaurant called "La Franja del Camino", which has been closed for three years.

I remember that place, having had a very nice rest there. It was off-camino a bit and right on the highway, I think.

And this is way off topic, but since the main question has been answered, I will just throw out there that if you are in Riego de Ambrós and wondering whether your knees can take that descent to Molinaseca, you should consider the alternative lovely wooded path, Las Puentes de Malpaso, which can take you either to Molinaseca or to Ponferrada.

Tracks for El Acebo - Riego - Ponferrada (total of 19 km)

Tracks for Rigeo - Molinaseca (total of about 5 or 6, since these tracks are for an 11 km circular route).

Reb and I went from Ponferrada on the Puentes de Malpaso up to El Acebo for our first night of the Valley of Silence circle, but it would be a nice alternative for those walking the Camino Francés because it would avoid the very rocky descent from Riego. And it is a beautiful forested trail.

this might take this off topic again, but for those who do not know, this beer tap is made of porcelain by 'Sargadelos' , a Galician porcelain / ceramic factory from the very early 1800s, gaining increasing attention for its fine prducts, both domestically and internationally. they have some beautiful pieces..and they have a store in Santiago on Rua Nova, just a few minutes away from the cathedral. Their product lines are expanding (silk scarves, leather purses, mens ties., etc.) they ship internationally, it's worth checking out.

Hi, Everybody who has posted on this thread,
I thought the name of the bar/restaurant was a bit strange"La Franja" -- fringe, border, trimming or stripe. None of these seem like a good name for a bar/restaurant. I thought perhaps there was a special meaning in galego that I did not understand. So I asked the person who told me where my photo was taken. She happened to be probably the only person in Spain (apart from the owner of the bar) who knew the answer! Here it is, Google translated:
