I am flying into Barcelona on Sept. 1st then planning to take a train to Pamplona. Does anyone know if the train station is far from the airport? How long should I give myself to commute from airport to train station? Thanks. Monique

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I took the bus from Barcelona Station Nord to Pamplona-- about 24 Euros and 4 hours. You can also take a bus from Barcelona Station Sans. I was very comfortable and it dropped me off at the bus station where I needed to be to then take the van service to SJPDP. The train was the same amount of time, but more expensive and I would had needed to find my way to the Pamplona Bus Station anyways. The bus option could not have been easier nor more convenient. Check http://www.vibasa.es

From the airport you can take the metro to get to either bus stations-- you can also take the huge Blue Bus at 5 Euros sitting outside the terminal(s) and leaving for Plaza Cataluña every 15 minutes. From Plaza Cataluña you can very easily take metro/bus to get to either Sants or Nord (check timetables to see which one is more conveneint for you). The bus leaving from Nord had quite a bit of biciclysts and pilgrims. I actually befriended a couple of pilgrims right away from the bus in Pamplona.

BUEN CAMINO!

Don't know about train station but the bus station is not far. €25 by taxi. Bus leaves from T2 to Madrid bus station. I think there is also a bus from airport to Burgos, there is certainly one the other way. Road and rail connections from Burgos are excellent

I know that this is a bit off-topic question, but don't deserve a separate thread on the other hand I think. I'm asking this because I can't find this info on the official BCN airport web site.

My friend is returning from SdC tomorrow (Friday) evening with Vueling via BCN (arrival 23:50) and has connection flight on Saturday at 10:45. She heard that the airport is closed during the night between 00:00 and 06:00 and that you can not wait inside. That really sounds very awkward to me, because I have slept on the airports many times/nights myself, but never at BCN airport. Any info about that?

Thanks for help in advance!

The Aena Aeropuertos websites are easily the best airport websites I've seen. Its still easy to get lost in the pages. It took me a while even with Falcon's post.

It´s easy. I started walking from Pamplona ones. From the airport I took the metro to the trainstation, Barcelona Sants. Around 9:30 at night I took a nighttrain to Pamplona. Cheap and slept well. Arrived at 6 in the morning and found the yellow arrows about a kilometer from the trainstation. At least the nighttrain was a possible option last year.

Good luck, Roger
