I will be flying ryanair to Barcelona (girona?) what is the easiest most cost effective route to Pamplona ? I am guessing bus to Barcelona 100+km then train or bus it is difficult to plan as most web sites for train / bus are in Spanish only. Is there a bus from near the airport to Pamplona /roncessval

Thanks

Frank

Firstly a bus from Girona to Barcelona http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/ ... elona.html .

then from Barcelona a train or a bus to Pamplona http://gospain.about.com/od/barcelona/q ... mplona.htm .

Pamplona to Roncesvalles http://www.expressbourricot.com/en/serv ... ation.html or http://www.pamplona.es/VerPagina.asp?id ... 1&idioma=1 .

you could fly too
Barcelona El Prat to Pamplona (with iberia) €169 (oneway) in May
http://www.flylowcostairlines.org/low-c ... b_send%5D=

If you book tickets you have to be aware of the different airports (Reus, El Prat, Girona) all referred as `Barcelona` or the bus stations Sants or the other one(s) I don´t remember the name of now.

Barcelona is worth a day or two SO MUCH TO SEE THERE (for hotels http://www.booking.com ) the Gaudi houses, the Cathedral, La Sagrada Famiglia, The Picasso Museum is a MUST etc

This is one of the bus companies operating Barcelona (Nord) - Pamplona
http://www.vibasa.com/billete1.php?ididioma=2

This webpage is partly in English and you can look at the timetables (one bus in the morning, one early afternoon and a night bus) a return ticket about €45. But I am not sure they accept other credit cards than the ones issued in Spain.

we took a bus from Giron to Barcelona, they come often, and have one way tickets for sure, plenty of walkers are on these buses.

best wishes!

Hi, thanks for the advice. Do you have any idea how long it takes from Barcelona to Pamplona by bus? I have visited the Vibasa.com page, but they only advise on departure and there´s no information about the arrival or the duration. Do you have any experience / information?

The Vibasa website is almost impossible to find any info on. Of course there are many bus companies, not only Vibasa or Alsa.

http://www.alsa.es

there is an Alsa bus - takes 7 hours from Barcelona to Pamplona - timetable for May 25:
