His photos are just stunning. And I guess the lesson to learn is that well fitting shoes are the most important item you take with you!

I have never ever seen such quality of photos from the Camino - that person is an artist.

Brave, to carry on .. but ... well, two things. 1. he shouldn't have carried on without taking care of his feet, from the very moment he started to have problems, and 2. he should have stopped at the first shop he could buy footwear and replaced his boots/shoes and burned his old ones so no one could wear them :|

But, crikey! what a photographer!

amazing what you can do with photoshop and the skill to use it properly.

Oh, is that what it is? Not original photos? (I seem only to be able to take photos of my thumb)

I suspect so though I would love to be proven wrong. But, as I said, it takes great skill to use photoshop properly and the end result is still the authors own work and creative talent.

methodist-pilgrim, that's exactly what my hubby said when I showed him! (the photoshop bit...and that it was a skill well used) So the grass is not so green even in spring? I was starting to think a spring camino might have its merits, but would I be disappointed if I expected to see those pictures each day? It was brown when we were there......

Also wonderful photos-and an extra treat for someone like me who can't take a decent picture to save my life!

kiwi family I have now walked in all four seasons and each has its own beauty.

I like the green of spring but loved the frost of the autumn even if it meant a cold face.

you have posted some lovely photos to boot.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Sounds like any time is a good time for a Camino!
I must admit to not taking those photos (or photoshopping them!) All but two were taken by my 17-year-old daughter on a not-fancy camera.

She's a very talented photographer. I hope she pursues it!!Could be the beginning of a great career.

Agreed.

The ability of the eye and the imagination to "see" the photograph is more important than the equipment used.

I have a friend whose camera is top notch but his poor creative talent reduces his work to mediocre. A great shame.

Encourage your daughter to think about having this as a second string, if not first string, career.

I agree, and I would also love to see more of fourjandals' work. He's a real artist. Wish I could do that!
