Best non-phone resource to find trails

I'm currently staying near Oviedo, in the north of Spain. I know there are various Camino trails near here but I can't find any using Google maps and Google searching. Is it possible to find without downloading something to my phone?
Any recommendations?

A map app that's better for finding trails is mapy.cz.

It is another app to download though.

If you are interested in finding them use your browser to visit the Wikiloc website. You can search for and view trail tracks there. You can't download any of the tracks unless you are a member (free registration) but if you do you still need some app to follow the track. Google Maps could be used for this but I wouldn't recommend it; it wasn't designed for trail use.

IMHO, either buy enough data or download an app (Maps.cz, Wikiloc, Buen Camino, Wise Pilgrim...) over WiFi in order to download and use their offline maps. Trying to navigate Camino using a website and relying on cellular coverage is not likely to work well. And, as you have seen, Google Maps does not and cannot provide you guidance for walking.

There are indeed: the Norte, the Primitivo and the Salvador all interrelate with Oviedo and the lovely Hospis at the Albergue de peregrinos de El Salvador; the Tourist Office and, on a lucky day, the staff at the welcome desk in the Cathedral will all help you out.

For how long do you want to walk - just a day? You could find a marker where you are and just follow it to see where you end up - now that would be an adventure.

Google Maps could be used for this but I wouldn't recommend it; it wasn't designed for trail use.

That is generally very true and the reason is trails (remote) don't tend to have any services for google to link to (so no money to be made for their outlay of effort).

However a Camino trail (especially the Frances etc) comes somewhere between navigating a walk along streets and walks in remote areas, and google had till recently put them in the too hard basket.

2 years ago I tried to apply Google Maps Directions for the first Camino segment I tried (from Peso da Regua to Villa Real) and found that 90% of the trail was ACTIVE so I asked if they could make the remainder active as well.

They actually replied to me (very rare) and asked lots of questions about my motives etc and finally decided it was worth them making the effort (especially if I was to do all the hard work).

Since then I have done similar on many UK National trails and Caminos (including Frances) so to answer the OP question yes you should be able use Google Maps as long as you understand how to do it, but it really needs someone to "do a road test" on a few segments before I would recommend it to anyone.
