Couldn’t agree more with @woody66. Walking the VE was the highlight of out Coastal walk. In hindsight, I would have liked to have spent a bit more time in Combarra. We did stay at the Monestario in Armenteira. Delightful room and a lovely pilgrim’s mass. Off season, rooms can be reserved for a single night. Might be different in the busier summer season. A very nice cafe/bar is just outside the monastery gate. Finally, as much as walking the VE was spectacular, the final leg by boat from Villanova de Arousa was the icing on the cake. A wonderful 1h15m excursion up the river toward Padrón. After walking the VE, be sure to stop by the municipal albergue in Padrón to pick up your certificate, the Padróna. Quite a nice souvenir of this walk.Secondly if you get the chance do the Espiritual from just north of Pontevedra (easy to find the start) it's wonderful; visit Combarro, Armentiera (stay in the Monastery) and the Pilgrim boat from Villanova de Arousa best bit of the Camino loved it will do it again one day!
