We bought tickets directly at the ALSA booth in the pilgrims office ,anyway last year. Do not know there still is an ALSA booth in the new pilgrimsoffice.
Also you can buy your ticket at the busstation. Mind it is a 20 minutes walk from the Santiago cathedral to the busstation.
Bom caminho

There is an Alsa office in/near the new pilgrims office, but it is only open during main season. Buen Camino, SY

CP train from Oporto Campanaha to Vigo Guixar.

Renfe train from Vigo Guixar to Santiago

Or

Autna bus from Porto to Vigo

Monbus from Vigo to Santiago,

Note there is no central bus station in Porto.

We took the train to Porto in 2014. It was great.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The ALSA bus works very well, with about 4-5 stops. But you had to plead with the driver to stop long enough to take a bathroom break, so plan accordingly!

Olá, some infos about transportation Santiago to Porto in October/November

ALSA: has 2 busses in October/November. At 10:00 and 12:00 has website
AUTNA: weekdays 10:00 ; 14:00 ; 17:00 Sat/Sun only 17:00 all change in Vigo , website
Train: CP trains from Vigo Guixar at 9:02 and 20:02 . Many Renfe Trains from Santiago to Vigo Guixar. You have to use 2 websites : renfe and cp . No thru train from Santiago to Porto

As mentioned above, allways book one or more days in advance. Limited seats. I always buy my tickets at the bus terminal (Estacion de Autobusses) in Santiago one day in advance.
