Hi everyone, just looking for a bit of well needed information. I will be landing on a Saturday in biarritz airport at 5.40 pm. What is the best way to make it to Jean pied after this time ?
thanks!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Last train leaves 1806. You won't catch it.

Take #14 bus from Airport to Gare Bayonne.

Find accommodation in Bayonne for the night.

Catch the 0745 train from Bayonne to SJPdP. It arrive 0843 ... lots of time to walk from SJPdP to Roncesvalles.

Alternatively, Express Bourricot offers private hire taxi service catering to pilgrims.

Hi, Lukey,
Send me a PM if you want contact details for 20€ private accommodation in the center of Bayonne. I slept there this May and it's very cozy room with use of a kitchen and bathroom. Easy to find.
Ultreia!

I am arriving at Biarritz about 30 minutes before you and have booked Express Bourricot to pick me up and take me to St Jean. Contact them if you want to share a ride - it will probably cost more than the 20 euro hotel room but would let you start walking on Sunday if you wanted to.

Taxi share, bus or - pick up by Express Bourricot, which we did and it was easy peasy.

Hi thank you for all the replies! I would have joined you in a taxi but this didnt send me any notifications. In the mean time I cancelled my reservation in St. Jean and booked into a room in Bayonne so I plan on getting the first train Sunday morning.
Good luck on the trek we might bump into eachother !

Where did you book your room in Bayonne?

No problems. I got a lift with Caroline from Express Bourricot although apparently some others from the same flight managed to get to the last train in time. There's no more Express Bourricot for this year though as I was her last pickup of the season (and also possibly for good as Caroline told me that she was planning on selling the business).
Hope your walk is great - I had a fantastic week out on the Frances!
