I plan to take the bus from the airport into Biarritz, but wanted to know if the fare is by coin, card chip, or a ticket bought from a machine, has anyone taken this post-Covid?

(PS: no advice needed on why I am headed to Biarritz, taking a van to SJPdP, etc.)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Walk out of the airport, turn left and follow the sidewalk about 100 meters to where the buses wait. As I recall, on the other side of the airport road. You will see a bus waiting area. If you miss your van, catch the No. 11 bus in midtown, Biarritz, to the train station at the far south of town, Buen Camino

what van service are you using to get to SJPP? I am in need of this service as well. Cheers

The info desk at the Biarritz airport is there to help and has guided me two times. They will guide you! . Head to them after
Passing through security. The busses are out the door to the left in a bus waiting area and the person will tell you which one to catch.

OP here with my update since I just arrived and did it!

Hopped on the bus and paid 1€ plus .30€ for a disposable card paid directly to the driver, no change if you don’t have exact change. 13 minutes later I arrived in downtown Biarritz and walked to my hotel. Very easy and 19€ cheaper than a taxi! Walking would have been about 40 minutes but it was dumping rain. I LOVE Biarritz - all you Camino folks are missing out on a jewel by bypassing it for a quick turnaround to SJPdP.
