Biarritz to St Jean

Hi
We are looking at starting from St Jean on 3 July this year. I have been looking at flights from the UK and think we will fly Stansted to Biarritz. As the flight does not get in until just after 5 pm I thought we would use Bourrico Express but their site does not start until March. Does anyone know if I will be able to book at that time of year and fill a minibus? I want to book my flights now as they are very cheap. Is this the most cost effective way of getting from airport?
Thanks Shauna

Hi Shauna, book your tickets now while they are still cheap, you will still have four months to organise the minibus after they open in March. As you get in so late there is no guarantee you would make the 18.10 train from Bayonne.
Happy planning and Buen Camino.

Thanks. Do you think it will be easy to find a taxi share through Bourricot that will be cost effective? Also how long would it take?

Hi Shauna,

If you are not checking baggage on Ryan Air, you could have a good chance of making the 18:10 train. The bus picks up right outside of the very small Biarritz airport and is maybe 20 minute ride at about 1.20 euro. The bus goes directly to train. A couple of years ago, the ride was 11euro I believe. Oops, now I'm thinking you might have to go through customs as well which really doesn't take that long.

Something to consider for anyone else too who might not be so pressed for time and like to add some spark to travel. ;) The train ride is beautiful in the evening light.

Keep a smile,
Simeon
