Big increase in pilgrims in SdC for Semana Santa

Today over 2500 Compostelas were issued in Santiago (and over 2000 yesterday).
From what i gather the number of pilgrims so far this year now exceeds the same period in 2019.

Is this the normal amount or just because of Semana Santa, sounds like a huge number?

On the website Camino Ways they say that 10% of all compostelas are issued during Semana Santa.

Pretty safe to say it is because of Semana Santa and also the extension of the holy year into 2022 because of the virus.
